POLICY

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

With the ever-changing weather in our great state, we want to have a flexible weather cancelation policy, yet make smart choices and keep the safety of our church attendees at the forefront of our decisions. The number one “rule” is for you to use common sense and only travel when you feel safe.

The Bridge will make every effort to conduct the weekend worship services. Only extremely hazardous weather, impassable travel conditions, severe damage to facilities, and/or a power outage at the church will cause a cancellation. Should poor weather conditions arise, the staff at The Bridge will determine a church events status as quickly as possible. With so many different city and school organizations represented within our church body, we will not be following suit of a specific school districts cancelations.    

For weekend services, the plan is to make a determination by 3pm on Saturday and 7am for Sunday services.  All weekday evening activities will be determined by 5pm. There are circumstances that make these timelines unrealistic so we appreciate your understanding and flexibility.

 

CHURCH-WIDE COMMUNICATION

In the event of a closing or delayed opening due to inclement weather or other emergency, the following communication strategies will be used to relay the details:

 

  • Announcement on the home page of our church website
  • Facebook Status Update
  • A News Channel 3 (WWMT) website listing and television broadcast (*If applicable)
  • All-Church Email and Text Message
